Loves Park Illinois

The Oregon Park East Bike Path is located on the eastern bank of the Rock River in the small town of Oregon, in northern Illinois. The western section runs from McHenry County College on US 14 to Crystal Lake, west of N. Oak Street. The paved Rock River Recreation Trail follows the east bank of the Rock River from Shorewood Park to Martin Memorial Park. In addition to the park and hiking trails on the north and south sides, it also runs along the south side of US 14, north of Lake Michigan.

The Leland Path is a relatively short walk along the east bank of the Des Plaines River in the town of Oak Park and downtown. This cobbled path that runs through Nick Saelens Memorial Park is pretty, as it runs along a tree-lined stream. There are plans to extend the Millennium Trail to up to 35 miles and connect it to the Plaine River Trail, but it currently extends for just over 30 miles in two separate segments.
