I love it here. everyone is so nice and they have great coffee. the owners have done a great job making sure everyone feels important. i heart megs daily grind!!!

After reading the story about Meg talking to the owners of the daily grind, I needed to write a response since I along with my daughter Meg stated Meg's in 2001. We had NEVER spoken with the Daily Grind owner in Rockton before, during or after opening our first location on E. Riverside in Rockford. Though rumors circulate about everything--this is the first time I have heard this incorrect one. I am glad someone asked because it is important to correct incorrect information

I heard a story that before it became Meg's Daily Grind, Meg asked the owner of the Daily Grind if they would help her learn the business because she also wanted to start a coffee shop. The owner graciously said yes and taught her everything. She then opened her own shop Meg's DAILY GRIND notice the same name. The owner of the original Daily Grind is now out of business and everyone thinks Meg's is great. I personally believe in not biting the hand that feeds you and if this is the type of character Meg truly is, I prefer to spend my money elsewhere. Has anyone else heard this story and is it true?
